








The Grind is a fashion and lifestyle magazine targeting college students who are interested in staying up-to-date with the latest food, fashion, entertainment, and life-hacks. Filled with interesting and useful information, the magazine caters to college students on a budget. Different than the typical “college life” magazine, The Grind is filled with sarcasm and mockery which is appealing to the demographic. The Grind’s philosophy is about “embracing the broke college lifestyle, and looking good while we do it.” Our four-person team conceived, collaborated and designed the magazine with myself overseeing as project art director. The finished design included a limited color palette of black, white, and grey paired with a modular design, and a focus on photography.
